Coffs Harbour

Ness is off shopping so I thought I would get this done. We had a lovely breakfast beside the harbour yesterday and then went for a walk along the break wall, decided not to walk up Mutton Island as it was a bit blowy and I wasn't feeling great. So instead we watched the fishermen with their balloons. They blow up balloons with helium tie them to their lines and the wind does the rest. It drags the lines out for hundreds of metres deep sea fishing without leaving the wharf. We also watched schools of young tuna feeding close to the wall- maybe be tuna, maybe not.

As both of us really wanted to go to Belligen and Dorrigo it was a bit disappointing that the sky was heavy with dark clouds but by the time we finished breakfast our walk, the sun was poking threw the clouds and blue sky was appearing, so off we went to the hills.

Some really nice homes in the Bellingen area. Belligen is a little like Bowral without the crowds and some of the shops we went into weren't too expensive. Lots of cafes I can imagine in Summertime it would be very busy. Not sure what they do for winter as there was a lot of staff not doing much. We had afternoon tea/coffee at the Butter Factory. Of course went for a wander around the shops but not a lot thou we both like the glass shop. We drove the tourist route home via Sawtell. Sat at the lookout watching some lovely storm clouds heading our way. Sawtell is very similar to Belligen boutique shops and the main street is very pretty.

Back for a quick walk along the beach, as the clouds came closer. As the evening approached the rain arrived and some thunder. It was very nice to go to bed with sound rain on the roof and low rubble of thunder.

This morning I still didnt feel so great so Ness and I did some catch up work- internet banking rang about the house etc. The house is not finalised till tomorrow? I say this with a question mark as I'm sure something else will come along to hold it up!! Ness rang her Mum and she spoke with Karen (WA) to tell her she really wanted her at her 40th Birthday. Yeah Karen is coming. Ness wanted me to tell you she cleaned the car but only the inside. She did a great job the perfectionist she is over the car.

So the cloud is moving again and I am going to get warm catch you all later.
